Los Angeles producer and DJ Deorro, also known as TON!C, built his name through a hard-charging mix of house and EDM that connected quickly with online listeners and festival crowds alike. A proud Mexican American, he broke through in the early 2010s with bold solo records and collaborations on Dim Mak and Mad Decent, turning tracks like “Dechorro,” “Freak,” and “Five Hours” into major momentum. “Five Hours” became a Top Ten hit in France and Belgium, helping establish him as one of the standout crossover names of that wave.
His rise started with a following on SoundCloud before expanding into heavy touring from 2012 through 2014. Along the way, he added remixes for artists including Digitalism, Duck Sauce, and Yellow Claw, then pushed further with high-profile releases such as “Five More Hours” featuring Chris Brown and “Bailar” featuring Elvis Crespo, both of which reached the Top Ten in multiple territories. That run carried into his 2017 debut collection, Good Evening.
Deorro stayed especially prolific after that, releasing nearly a dozen singles in 2018 and returning in 2019 with the high-energy collaboration “Keep It Goin’.” More recent work includes a 2022 single with Los Tucanes de Tijuana and his debut Latin album, which spans 19 tracks and features 18 collaborators, reflecting his continued reach across both EDM and Latin music.
