Boys Like Girls is a Boston-area band that broke out by blending rock, pop, and punk into a sound built for huge hooks, emotional energy, and singalong anthems. From early on, they turned that formula into multi-platinum success, sold-out shows, massive streaming numbers, and a fanbase that has stayed with them well beyond their original rise.
Formed by a group of friends from the suburbs of Boston, the band first hit big with their 2006 debut and pushed even further with their 2009 follow-up, which reached #1 on the Top Rock Albums chart and cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Along the way, they built a catalog that includes platinum songs like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” the gold-certified “Hero/Heroine,” and the platinum duet “Two Is Better Than One” with Taylor Swift, while touring globally and playing major stages such as Madison Square Garden.
After a four-year dormancy, Boys Like Girls returned in 2016 for a 10th anniversary tour celebrating their debut, then reignited their momentum in 2022 with an appearance at When We Were Young in Las Vegas and new studio work. In 2023, they continued that comeback with their fourth full-length album, presented as a vibrant and heartfelt new chapter in the band’s long-running journey together.
